Greta is a specialized lawyer and consultant, with twenty years of professional experience; guiding and promoting strategic controls related to compliance, ethics, legal and risk prevention for multinational companies and other entities.
She is passionate about collaborating to confirm that risks are correctly and opportunely identified, ensuring that mitigation occurs via effective controls; thereby protecting the assets and shareholders of companies, as well as creating value for clients.
Greta was Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance for Walmart de México y Centroamérica until June 2022. At Walmart, she had a successful career, founding the compliance function for the Mexico and Central American business. She occupied distinct positions throughout her twelve years, supervising the six countries and later focusing specifically on the business in Mexico.
In this capacity she developed and ensured the correct implementation of the Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Trust, Consumer Protection, Health & Wellness, Labor and Employment, Privacy and Data Protection, Product Safety & Textile Quality and Trade Compliance Programs. She also led the initial Enterprise Risk Management process for the six countries, covering the totality of its operations.
Prior to Walmart, Greta was a member of the Regional Latin American Compliance Office for Citi Bank and Grupo Financiero Banamex, where she led the bank on a regulatory visit from U.S. regulatory agencies (Fed and OCC), as well as supervising regulatory reporting and policies for the region.
